A 3 day adventure into the Cairngorms, Scotland's largest national park.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Starting in Stirling, we're heading north to Braemar. On the way make sure to stop at all the view pionts to take in the stunning mountains. In Braemar, get some lunch at the Bothy and support some small local businesses like the chocolate shop, the sweet shop and the butchers! Drive out to the Spittal of Glen Muick and be prepared to see massive herds of red deer, a beautiful loch and a greatovernight stay location (toilets were open 24 hours!).

Driving time: 2 hours

To eat: The Bothy Braemar

Stay the night: Spittal of Glen Muick

Visit Ballater and take in the sights, then drive the 'snow roads' accross to Tomintoul. Some nice shops there, and a good selection of whisky if you're into it. Must visit Spindrift of Tomintoul. Head to Nethy Bridge for lunch to go out to RSPB Loch Garten for a lovely lakeside walk. We also stayed the night here in their smaller car park by paying the suggested donation. The staff will come and politely ask you to be mindful of nature, they were lovely. Please keep in mind that this is a small car park, if there are too many people, please try to stay somewhere else.

Driving time: 1.25 hours

Head out to Glenmore to walk on a sandy beach while in the mountains, consider taking a swim (weather dependant!). Drive up to Cairngorm ski centre for some stunning views. Make your way back to Stirling via Blair Atholl, hopefully stopping at the Watermill for lunch!
