Overnight camping in Ben Lawers car park May 2024

We decided to take an impromtu overnight trip with a friend, and one of the best places only an hour and a bit away from Stirling is the Ben Lawers car park. We hopped in both Land Rovers and headed up north towards Loch Tay.

After carefully reading the signs to check we were allowed to be there, we set up camp. Always check whether there are signs to say 'No overnight parking' and respect the rules.

We had a great night sitting out until about 10pm then moved indoors to finish a movie. Turns out the blue landy can comfortably seat 3 in the back!

Next day we headed through the mountain pass, past the impressive dam and got breakfast at a MUST VISIT location called Glenlyon tea room.

We had a great time and this only took us a few hours driving in total, so close to Stirling! You are also most of the way to Glencoe if you want to continue your adventure north.
