We had a free weekend and wanted to test out our modifications to Thumper. A bigger bed and some electrics were upgraded so we needed a check them out before spending a few weeks in Europe in her (watch out for another blog soon!). We picked a random campsite on the west coast and decided to plan a weekend around the campsite.
Ardfern Motorhome Park is a lovely little site, book via email and pay via the honesty box on site. There were all the facilities we could need: a sink, toilet and lovely spacious shower, the pitches were level, and everyone there was really nice!
The local village was lovely, we were not expecting the large marina or Lucy's cafe (delicious meals and coffees). The village shop was perfect, small but everything you could need.
We drove out to Craignish Point car park, looked out across the islands and then walked to the very end on an unmarked path to see some impressive views of the islands.
On the way home we stopped in at the Fyne Ales Brewery Tap & Shop, definitely worth a stop if you're interested in local beers!
